#tutorial - Mini Tutorial - I’ve been asked to share how I create my images. I have a lot of photo apps, but have some clear favorites. I often first turn to #decimat8 - out of seeming randomness and destruction, order and beauty emerge. the result often becomes the base layer in #juxtaposed - my main layering tool. I sometimes also use #iris for layering. For coloring, I often use #photostudio - which is how buddha’s background texture, color and glow were created. That particular image was then manipulated in #decimat8 to create the surreal temple scene used as the background. That’s it for this image, but I frequently use #picgrunger as a blending tool, or to create an overall effect - usually with the filter slider tool turned way down. I also like #picfx. I turn to #vintagescene for “in the past” effects. Because I have an underlying artistic theme or message, I don’t struggle too much in choosing a base layer. For example, out of 20 or more that I might initially create using #decimat8 … I’ll cast aside ‘better ’ images or results in favor of the one that most closely expresses the message. In summary, the key artistic concept that I follow is that of the Phoenix rising out of the ashes, because I believe we all relate to that. (Taken with instagram)
